Everyone these days is in a hurry. We want things to be quick, and we want them to be easy. So with this concept in mind, I’m sharing with you my five quick and easy ways to create a home of beauty and comfort.
Being pointed at is rude in every country on earth. The reason being pointed at is rude is because when things are pointed at us we feel defensive. Additionally, right angles and straight lines don’t exist in nature, so instinctively we feel most comfortable with soft rounded lines. Choose furniture with round corners instead of points and avoid plants that feel spiky or sharp and your space will instantly feel more relaxing and comfortable.
3. Let the Sun Shine In Sunlight is an essential component in having good feng shui. Full-spectrum light helps our bodies to produce hormones that regulate mood and keep us happy. Use mirrors positioned to reflect the light that comes in from windows to help brighten dark spaces.
4. Add Healthy Plants and Flowers Scientific studies prove that plants and flowers help patients heal more quickly, raise one’s spirits, and make an indoor setting feel more comfortable. Plants are essential to our survival, and when they are present in a space, blood pressure drops, heart rates slow and attitudes improve. Some plants are even good for lowering emf levels and help to purify the air. Keep your plants healthy and avoid ones with sharp, pointed leaves and spikes. Adding plants to your home will immediately help the way it feels.
People often choose artwork without paying much attention to how that piece will make them (and their guests) feel once it is placed in the home. Artwork that looks “edgy” or “controversial” in a gallery can feel negative or overwhelming in a home. Choose pieces that evoke positive, peaceful emotions rather than disturbing or unsettling ones. Also, remember that the size of the piece should fit the size of the wall and be hung at an appropriate level in relation to the furnishings in the room.
